ROM FEAR TO COURAGE – A REAL LIFE RESCUE

I would like to share an experience that happened a few days ago. We were travelling from Vadalur (Virudhachalam district) towards Chennai. Near Neyveli, a person attempted to cross the highway on his bike without wearing a helmet. Suddenly, an over-speeding truck hit him, and he fell unconscious on the road. My husband and I immediately stepped in to help. We carefully made him lie down with his head supported and called 108 right away. We stayed with him until the first-aid team arrived.I am profoundly thankful to Mr. Parathasarathy sir, because earlier I did not have the confidence to touch or assist someone involved in an accident. That hesitation was replaced by a sense of responsibility and courage at that moment. It felt very reassuring afterwards to hear from the first-aid team that our swift action played a part in his recovery.
